ABOUT My name is Sonja I was born and have always lived in or near Tulsa, Oklahoma. I have been interested in and practiced doing photography as long as I can remember. My favorite subject has always been dogs. I have taken classes at Tulsa Community College in their continuing ed program. Classes have included Beginning, Advanced, Wedding, Studio Lighting, and Photography after dark, I have taken a couple of them twice just as a refresher... My first paying photography job was a wedding in 2003. My second was another wedding in January of 2005. Both of the weddings were for friends / co-workers the first of which was not even going to have a photographer. I have done some Sr. Pictures for my son, stepson, and a couple of my sons friends. In October of 2005 I annoyed my 2nd cousins Wedding photographer and followed her around to take photos for practice, and to give to my aunt and my cousins some photos, but his mom (my 1st cousin) actually bought some from me too! Finally that same year just 1 week (10/22 & 23/2005) after my cousins wedding was my first real job without having some prior relation with the organizers or main participants. It was an AGILITY TRIAL!!! I was soooo thrilled, and then they asked me back to do Christmas photos. After this of course I was hooked and have been photographing mostly dog events and portrait days (even with people) ever since.
